Steam boilers with external electric resistance represent an advanced and efficient solution, born from the experience and innovation of GRC Italia, which developed and perfected this technology in the ironing sector 40 years ago.
Why an External Resistance?
Traditional boilers with internal resistance present several issues:
Limescale buildup: The direct immersion of the resistance in water promotes the formation of limescale deposits, which over time reduce system efficiency and increase the risk of malfunctions.
Complex replacement: If the resistance is firmly embedded in the boiler, a failure often requires replacing the entire component, leading to high costs and material waste.
To overcome these challenges, GRC Italia has developed an innovative system in which the resistance is positioned outside the boiler, improving both efficiency and maintenance.
How Does the External Resistance Work?
The resistance is embedded in an aluminum die-casting, which evenly distributes heat over a larger surface area. This heat is then transferred to the boiler through a graphite mold, a material with excellent conductive properties that ensures optimal heat exchange, reducing dispersion and improving energy efficiency.
Advantages of the External Resistance
✅ Greater durability and reliability: The absence of direct contact with water significantly reduces limescale formation, increasing the system’s lifespan.
✅ Easy maintenance: In case of failure, the resistance can be replaced without having to change the entire boiler, reducing costs and waste.
✅ Energy efficiency: Heat is distributed more evenly, ensuring better performance and optimized consumption.
✅ Increased safety: Avoiding direct contact with water reduces the risks of localized overheating and malfunctions.
Thanks to our experience and continuous innovation in the field of steam boilers with external electric resistance, GRC Italia has made this technology a benchmark in the ironing sector and beyond, offering high-performance, reliable solutions for those seeking efficiency, durability, and easy maintenance in steam boilers.
